Bar Levy: Serving as a Judge at the Synergy Innovate by TAU-MED Hackathon

Bar Levy, Founder and CEO of HaBait Shel Bar – Israel’s Women’s Cancer Association, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Proud to serve as a judge at the upcoming Synergy Innovate by TAU-MED Hackathon.

Innovation in healthcare starts with asking the right questions.

This year, I am honored to represent HaBait Shel BarIsrael’s Women’s Cancer Association (RA) and contribute one of the hackathon’s challenges, developed in collaboration with the Faculty of Medicine at Tel Aviv University.

The challenge focuses on a topic that is deeply important to me:

How can we improve the early detection of ovarian cancer through better communication between women and their primary care physicians?

Ovarian cancer remains one of the most challenging gynecological cancers to diagnose early.

Many women experience symptoms for months before receiving the correct diagnosis. Often, the challenge is not only medical — it is also about communication, awareness, and recognizing patterns early enough to change outcomes.

This is exactly where innovation can make a difference.

I am excited to meet the brilliant minds participating in the hackathon and to see how they approach this challenge from different perspectives – technology, medicine, behavioral science, design, and patient experience.

The future of healthcare will not be built by one discipline alone. It will be built through collaboration.

Looking forward to an inspiring event and to the ideas that may one day help save lives.

I would like thank the amazing mentors that are joining us Prof. Tally Levy, Prof. Zvi Vaknin and Dr. Mickey Lavi and the amazing judges that are joining me in evaluating the projects Dr. Sarit Batsir and Hilla Shaviv.

Special thanks to the amazing Gal Litman which is not only a talented MD-MBA student but a true leader.”
