Avinash Dinmohamed: Near-normal Life Expectancy for HL Patients Diagnosed at Ages 18-39

Avinash Dinmohamed, Senior Researcher at IKNL (Integraal Kankercentrum Nederland), shared a post on X:

“Proud of our PhD candidate Fer de Wit presenting his poster tonight at EHA2026!

Nationwide Dutch data show that modern HL treatment delivers near-normal life expectancy for patients diagnosed at ages 18-39. But long-term excess mortality persists for those ≥40 (most pronounced ≥60).

Five-year conditional relative survival up to 20 years post-diagnosis among adult HL patients (EHA-6215/PS2018). Come see the curves and chat with Fer from 18:45 in the poster hall!”
