“Indian Association of Surgical Oncology – Bilateral Collaboration (USA & Brazil) & IJSO Meeting at IASO NATCON 2025 – Goa
Honoured to participate in bilateral talks with the Society of Surgical Oncology (SSO, USA) and Brazilian Society of Surgical Oncology (BSSO) during the 38th IASO NATCON 2025 in Goa.
From SSO: President Russell Berman and Dr. Chandrakanth Are (CEO, Global Forum of Cancer Surgeons).
From BSSO: President Rodrigo Nascimento Pinheiro and Dr. Bruno Azevedo.
We discussed structured fellow exchange programs, collaborative research projects, and long-term academic partnerships to strengthen global training and innovation in surgical oncology.
We also had the IASO and Indian Journal of Surgical Oncology (IJSO) annual editorial board meeting, led by Dr. S.P. Somashekhar (Editor-in-Chief/Chairman) and Dr. Pankaj Kumar Garg (Executive Editor), focusing on journal enhancements like faster timelines, rising impact factor, and new initiatives for researchers.
