Successful completion of the 2nd OPBS Module 1 – Level 1 Oncoplasty, Axillary Management & Chest Wall Perforator Flap Workshop!
We’re delighted to share that the Second OPBS Module 1 program, held at Hotel Pride, Kolkata from 31st October to 2nd November 2025, concluded with great success.
As Course Directors, myself and Dr. Sanjit Agrawal curated an intensive three-day program covering the fundamentals of breast oncoplasty, Level I techniques, axillary management, and a dedicated day on chest wall perforator flap planning, marking, and dissection. The workshop also featured hands-on model-based training sessions and an S-Lympha practical workshop, designed to equip participants with the latest operative approaches in oncoplastic breast surgery.
Directed under the banner of the Oncoplastic Breast Surgeons Collaborative Group, in association with the Association of Breast Surgeons of India (ABSI) and the Indian Association of Surgical Oncology (IASO), this academic initiative brought together leading national and international experts along with aspiring surgeons committed to advancing breast cancer surgery.
Over 80 delegates participated from across India — including Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Coimbatore, Jaipur, Lucknow, Patna, Madurai, Varanasi, Goa, Indore, Surat, Thanjavur, Kochi, Gwalior, Tiruchirapalli, Nagpur, Vijayawada, Kurnool, Kannur, Mangalagiri, Shillong, and many more — along with delegates from Palestine, Malaysia, and Ethiopia.
We are deeply grateful to our outstanding faculty — Zoltan Matrai, Jay R. Anam, Kirti Katherine Kabeer, Shagun Mahajan, Pragati, Rudradeep Banerjee, Shomen, and Abhishek — for their exceptional scientific contributions and teaching.
