“Lend your voice to help advance the Improving Seniors’ Timely Access to Care Act (S. 1816/H.R. 3514). The bipartisan bill to streamline prior authorization in Medicare Advantage was recently voted out of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce’s Subcommittee on Health and must also pass a full committee markup. The bill would also have to move through the House Committee on Ways and Means before it can be brought to a House floor vote.
The cancer care community must continue to put pressure on lawmakers to finally pass this legislation while it has some momentum. Congress will soon be in August recess, then they will focus on the mid-term elections through November, and this session of Congress ends in December. They must work to advance this legislation now.
Write to your Members of Congress today and urge them to pass the Improving Seniors’ Timely Access to Care Act.”
