Aruni Ghose: Why Cancer Care Needs Strategic Leadership

Aruni Ghose, Director at Virtual Cancer Inequalities Lab, Specialty Doctor in Oncology at Velindre Cancer Service, Director at Canprecise AI, shared on LinkedIn:

“I might soon be starting the Fantastic Health MBA at the prestigious UCL Global Business School for Health with the hope of being part of a very niche club – the MD MBA as they call it – stems from 2 very resilient ecosystems – 1 healthcare for me Cancer care and the other being finance

Cancer financing needs a Serious Reshuffle before we can even fathom to hit the glorified punchline equity in eancer when the only current constant entity we’ve delivered is Inequalities – the spectrum has diversified!

Thats why I have been looking into and thinking about oncology otrategy oonsulting oirms – Boutique as well as the Big ones who inform healthcare industry strategies – I’ve hardly seen any oncologist to begin with and finding a Physician Managing Director or Partner is a Rare Event!

This is not me just Challenging Status Quo but asking the most obvious question – You create Strategies and Walk in boardrooms without ever stepping into the Wardrooms – Wow youre running MasterChef without ever stepping foot in the Kitchen!

A Century of Cancer Care and Equity is still a Distant Dream!

So lets contextualise – If you have an oncology base with Leadership interests and are an MD MBA or Pharm MBA or RN MBA or PhD MBA whichever part of the world you may be – Lets chat, lets build that Domain specific Context driven Cancer Strategy Society and Consulting Firm that we want to see!”
