Aruni Ghose: A Personal Reflection on Life, Oncology, and Purpose

Aruni Ghose, Director and Chief Executive Officer at Canprecise AI, Chief Medical Officer at Shiksak, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Change maker in Cancer care is not just about Trailblazing Randomised Clinical Trials Drug Discovery, Biomarker Discovery but also about Democratization of Cancer Innovation at your doorstep Access Affordability

I recently suffered a near death Anaphylactic Shock and just had the opportunity to reflect on my Ongoing Existential Crisis and Who I Am and here are my thoughts… A Doctor? An Academic? An Entrepreneur? Well…

My Day Job is my co-first love – helping patients fight Cancer, be it Medical Oncology, Immuno Oncology, Cardio Oncology in the UK. My Night Job is my co-first love – leading and CEO ing a Global Precision Oncology venture from India. My Intermittent Job is Democratizing the Conference Experience at the International Urology Cancer Summit and Cancer Health Disparities – London Global Cancer Week (LGCW)!

I am lucky to live these multiple lives in the same world and be all at once – helps me stay Global with Work Life Integration – I identify as a Cohort 9 NHS Clinical Entrepreneur Programme – the Reason I do it is because of the amazing fight from my Cancer patients, to always reflect whether this was the most Optimal treatment choice, can we do better and how do we do better – from necessity to innovation to adoption to implementation!

The Endgame – Both these worlds meet at a Common Point – how do I offer the best of Definitive and Supportive Care where each person is different, every Tumor is different – I would not survive without either world!

This huge family is who I identify myself with – they ensure that I always stay married to my first love – Oncology – always available 24x7x365 – a Holiday is out of the Dictionary!

You can choose to be AllinOne or OneDoingAll – but for that you need Your People – and the above are the people who’ve helped me be whoever I think I am! I owe it all to them! So Thank You very much for Staying!”
