Arturo Loaiza-Bonilla, Medical Oncologist and Principal Investigator at St. Luke’s University Health Network, shared on LinkedIn:
“Optum and Revolution Medicines you need to communicate and figure out how to get our pancreatic cancer patients access to Daraxonrasib now that this is FDA approved.
Denial to a Medicare rural patient under the guise of ‘We cannot find the drug on our list‘ is absurd.
I will be calling but this needs to stop- cc: Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services – Dr. Mehmet Oz.
UPDATE (9/3/26 7:25 PM ET): Got a call from Optum, national policy has been adjusted as of today!
My patient is approved, thanks.”
