“Last weekend I was invited by the AROICON 2025 to deliver a talk on “Radiation De-escalation strategies in breast cancer”. I felt fascinated to discuss various concepts on de-escalation of treatment in breast cancer while focussing on how can we de-escalate radiation in breast cancer patients. While it seems interesting and patient friendly, one must understand the complexity in such decision making to avoid compromizing patient outcome.
The conference was extremely well organized and this year it was more special as it was also endorsed by American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO). It was also motivating to see liaison between AROI and American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) to enhance collaboration and improving patient centric care.
This conference also gave opportunity to network with the leaders in the field and exchanging knowledge and expertize on various aspects of oncology.
