This is what made The Caribbean Association for Oncology and Hematology’s 14th Annual Scientific Conference in Trinidad so meaningful. Clinical experts, health leaders, researchers, and advocates came together to share knowledge and advance cancer care across the Caribbean Community.
It was an honor to co-lead a palliative care communications workshop with Karen Cox-Seignoret, Astra Chang-Ramsden, Neive George, and Elizabeth Persad that explored how compassionate communication can strengthen trust, help people navigate serious news, and better support patients and families through some of life’s hardest moments.
