Arif Kamal, Chief Patient Officer at American Cancer Society, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Thank you to Kimryn Rathmell and Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center-James Cancer Hospital & Solove Research Institute for hosting our recent American Cancer Society Board of Directors meeting in Columbus.
During our visit, we were honored to hear from ACS-funded researchers, meet Area Board members and volunteers who fuel our mission, and use the OSU spirit of winning (on the field and in the clinics) to inspire us as we accelerate our vision to end cancer as we know it for everyone.
And just as the Buckeyes football team is top in national rankings, we’re proud to celebrate our position as the largest provider of patient support services to those with cancer outside the federal government. And we’re joined by our colleagues at American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) as the top advocacy organization and research funder in our space.
As college football rivalries heat up, and the bowl season comes soon, it’s important to remember that the fight to win cancer remains ever-present.”
