Ardem Patapoutian, Professor at The Scripps Research Institute, Investigator at The Howard Hughes Medical Institute, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Happy to report that King L. Hung from my lab has received a Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation Postdoctoral Fellowship.
These early career awards are so important for young scientists. They open opportunities to network and meet colleagues, they provide important confidence to these scientists that they are doing great science, and that it is appreciated by the community at large. And more than ever, they provide funds beyond government sources that are more essential now than ever.
I was a Damon Runyon Postdoctoral Fellow as well as a Scholar Award recipient early in my career, and I know that recognition meant so much to me.
Congratulations to King and all the other awardees!”
