Antonio Ocejo: Running for the Research That Saved My Dad

Antonio Ocejo, Hematology/Oncology fellow at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, shared a post on X:

“In 2012, my dad was diagnosed with metastatic kidney cancer, when the median survival was around 1 year.

Thanks to research – much of it conducted at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center – today, more than a decade later, he’s stronger than ever.

In 2 weeks, I’ll run the NYC marathon with Fred’s Team to raise funds for Kidney Cancer research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where I’m now an oncology fellow working to advance the science that helped my dad.

Thanks for your donation – every dollar counts!”

ASCO TECAG shared this post, adding:

“Such a powerful story!! Best of luck, Antonio Ocejo. Please consider donating to support Antonio Ocejo and raise awareness for cancer research.”
