Antonio Lázaro Sánchez, Consultant Medical Oncologist at Hospital Clínico Universitario Virgen de la Arrixaca, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Great news!
Our abstract, ‘Regional Inequality in Access to Cancer Clinical Trials and Cancer Mortality in Spain,’ has been accepted as a poster at ESMO 2026 in Madrid (October 23-27).
Why is this work important? Because a patient’s ZIP code shouldn’t determine their treatment options for cancer. We analyzed how regional differences in access to cancer clinical trials are related to cancer mortality in Spain.
A huge thank you to my co-authors.
If you’ll be at ESMO, stop by our poster! I’d love to chat about equity in cancer research.”
