The Department of Pathology at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center has an opening for 2028-2029 in the Surgical Pathology: Precision Pathology Pathway Fellowship program.
Description: This is a one-year ACGME accredited Surgical Pathology: Precision Pathology Pathway Fellowship at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.
Highlights: This is a one-year training program at The Ohio State University (OSU) Wexner Medical Center, including the Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Research Institute. Precision pathology represents a transformative approach to diagnosing, classifying, and treating diseases.
A key focus of precision pathology is the integration of digital pathology, artificial intelligence, and genomic information to enhance diagnostic and treatment decisions. The Precision Pathology Fellowship at OSU will be the first in the nation to offer advanced training in diagnostic pathology combined with digital/computational pathology and molecular pathology.
The fellowship’s curriculum builds on prior training, offering extensive experience in diagnostic surgical and cytopathology, as well as in digital, computational, and molecular pathology. Fellows will have the flexibility to choose and further specialize in one of several subspecialties, while also gaining investigative skills through ongoing research projects in diverse areas of pathology.
In addition, fellows will expand their teaching and presentation abilities, with the opportunity for independent sign-out available.
Requirements: The candidate should be AP or AP/CP board eligible or board certified. License (training certificate or unrestricted license) to practice medicine in the state of Ohio is also required.
Stipend: Support will be commensurate with year of post-graduate training.
