“We are delighted to share that Andrew Grant, a PhD candidate at the UNSW Implementation to Impact (i2i) and Clinical Nurse Specialist at the Minderoo Children’s Comprehensive Cancer Centre at Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network, has been awarded a 2026 Cancer Institute NSW Nursing Fellowship Grant!
Over the next two years, Andrew’s research will investigate the needs of children who are genetically predisposed to cancer and require lifelong cancer surveillance, helping to improve support for children and families navigating inherited cancer risk.
This is critical and timely work that has the potential to inform future models of care and improve the experiences of families living with the ongoing realities of cancer risk.
The fellowship is supervised by Natalie Taylor, with a multidisciplinary team including Noemi Fuentes Bolanos, Marilyn Cruickshank, Jane Maguire, and Sharon De Graves.
