“Excited to share our newly published article in Neuroimaging Clinics of North America: ‘Spine PET/MR Imaging: Current Clinical Applications and Future Directions.’

The paper focuses particularly on the oncologic applications of spine PET/MR, integrating tumor metabolism and receptor expression with high-resolution MRI for the evaluation of spinal metastases, lymphoma, and primary spinal tumors.

We discuss a biology-driven approach to radiotracer selection, including FDG, PSMA, DOTATATE, and FES, as well as emerging tracers. An interesting molecular aspect is that PSMA expression can reflect both prostate cancer cells and tumor neovasculature, illustrating how molecular imaging can interrogate tumor biology beyond anatomy alone.
