“HealthIT Conference 2025.
Designing the Ecosystem of Digital Health Care in the Age of AI”
The 8th HealthIT Conference brings together experts, professionals, and decision-makers to turn vision into action.
On the first day of the conference (October 30), I have the honor of participating in a panel discussion dedicated to exploring how crucial digital literacy is for patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.
As part of my presentation, I will focus on our new research project i_NTERVENE, funded by the EU4HEALTH program. This initiative aims to promote and strengthen digital literacy among patients, healthcare providers, and citizens, empowering them to navigate the digital
transformation of healthcare more effectively.
Through its multidisciplinary actions, i_NTERVENE seeks to:
- Strengthen the understanding and practical use of digital health services and tools.
- Foster collaboration and knowledge exchange between patients, professionals, and policymakers.
- Encourage trust, transparency, and inclusivity in the use of data and AI in healthcare.
- Reduce disparities in access to digital health resources, ensuring that innovation benefits all segments of society.
By empowering individuals with the right skills, confidence, and awareness, projects like i_NTERVENE contribute to a broader vision of patient-centered, data-driven, and ethically grounded healthcare.
In the age of artificial intelligence, where technology is rapidly transforming how care is delivered and experienced, digital literacy becomes a cornerstone of public health and social resilience. Our collective responsibility is to ensure that this digital revolution enhances – not replaces – the human connection at the heart of healthcare.”
