Andreas Brandl, Attending Surgeon at University of Heidelberg, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“What an inspiring few days in Barcelona.
From 22–24 January 2026, the 9th Train the Trainer Course of INTERACT EUROPE 100 took place at the Catalan Institute of Oncology – a true example of European collaboration in cancer care.
Key takeaways from our workshops:
Collaboration = better outcomes – effective teamwork is essential for best patient care.
Seeing other roles & realities – diverse workflows across Europe became visible.
Communication is the missing link – dialogue is needed along the entire patient pathway.
What made this course special was its true European outreach, with trainers and participants coming together from across the continent: Bulgaria, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Ukraine
Different systems, cultures, and perspectives – united by one goal: improving cancer care for our patients.
I am especially proud that Krankenhaus Nordwest in Frankfurt is actively contributing to INTERACT EUROPE 100, and that Dr. Dragan Kiselicki was trained during this course.
A big thank you to the European Cancer Organisation for driving this important initiative, and especially to our fantastic super-trainers Virpi Sulosaari, Luzia Travado, Pierfrancesco Franco as well as Haidar K. for their expertise, energy, and inspiration.
Many thanks as well to the European School of Oncology for the excellent organisation.”
