Anas Younes, Chief Medical Officer and Head of Haematology R&D at AstraZeneca, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Conventional response assessments in blood cancer may not fully capture residual disease burden. Minimal residual disease (MRD) testing has emerged as a highly sensitive prognostic tool, enabling detection of small numbers of remaining cancer cells and providing deeper insight into treatment response.
Advances in technologies such as next-generation sequencing, combined with artificial intelligence, are enhancing our ability to interpret complex biological data and support more informed, data-driven clinical decisions across hematology.
I encourage you to read this latest What Science Can Do blog from my AstraZeneca colleagues Nicholas Durham and Anthony Mato on how MRD testing is helping advance hematology care.”
