“I learned the sad news that a family friend passed away yesterday following a several year battle with colon cancer. Her youngest son and I were the same age and grew up together in church and school.
She was a sassy Southern hairstylist who gave me my first grown up haircut in the 5th grade. She was also a woman of deep faith, a real life steel magnolia.
She will be missed.”
