Amy K. Patel, Medical Director of The Breast Care Center at Liberty Hospital and Associate Professor of Radiology at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, shared a post by Diagnostic Imagining on X:
“Dr. Nicole Saphier has been a champion in the field of radiology. She has done an outstanding job effectively articulating evidence-based guidelines when it comes to breast cancer screening and early detection and has used her platform to vociferously advocate for women and their breast health.
For years, I have also had the pleasure of collaborating with her on initiatives through The American College of Radiology and The Society of Breast Imaging, as she’s been such a hard-working steward for our field in general. I can honestly say she is a fierce advocate for patient care and access, and I do feel she will apply that same intensity and expertise to public health as a whole. I feel honored to call her a friend and couldn’t be happier for her as if she’s confirmed, she will be the first radiologist to serve in this important capacity.”
