Amy Fawcett: 14 Months of Learning, Completed With Distinction

Amy Fawcett, Head of Cancer Stories at Cancer Research UK (CRUK), shared on LinkedIn:

Inspired by Michelle Mitchell OBE’s advice while I was on CRUK’s Elevate leadership programme about how important it was to continue to focus on academic learning as your career progresses, I started a Level 7 Senior Leader Apprenticeship just over a year ago. After 14 months of hard work, I’m so happy and very relieved to find out that I’ve passed with Distinction.

It’s definitely taken over my life over the last few months, but I’ve learnt so much and I’m incredibly grateful to Cancer Research UK (CRUK) for supporting me and giving me the time and space to focus on this learning.

A huge thank you as well to Luke Robinson for his advice and support throughout and to all of my colleagues who provided the feedback, evidence and pep talks I needed to get through it, especially Claire Atkinson, Tom Bourton, Yvette Hodgson, Kim Ireland, Laura Sharp, Freya Parry and Laura McKechnie.

I’m super proud of this achievement and excited to keep building on everything I’ve learnt.”
