Amy C. Moore, Director of Patient Engagement and Advocacy at Summit Therapeutics, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“When we moved to CA, I had the good fortune of landing at what was then the Bonnie J. Addario Lung Cancer Foundation (eventually GO2 for Lung Cancer). I felt a lot of uncertainty, having just left behind family and friends for a new start.
Bonnie embraced me and my family, and her passion and commitment to the lung cancer community became an anchor that guided me like it has guided so many others.
Probably one of the hardest things I ever had to do was to tell Bonnie I was leaving. She was hurt, which broke my heart. But I have always tried to stay true to the lessons she taught me, and I am forever inspired by and grateful for the doors she opened and the trails she blazed.”
