“Dear friends and colleagues,
I’ll be taking an academic session on (As a part of Educational Intiative by OncoWisdom and by Bhawna Sirohi):
‘Beyond the P-value’ – practical statistics for oncology fellows.
Aimed especially at oncology trainees and young oncologists.
In this lecture, I’ll try to simplify how we should actually read clinical trials in daily practice, focusing on 3 things in Part 1 –
• Hazard ratios (HR) – what they truly mean clinically
• Power and alpha spending – how to read and understand the paragraphs that we seldom read in published article.
• Subgroup analyses – how to pick up signal versus noise.
Block the date: Friday, 6th February 2026.
Time: 2:00 – 3:00 PM IST.
This is meant to be practical, interactive, and clinically relevant rather than textbook statistics.
I’d be happy if you or your trainees could join.
