“I am honored to share that at the 11th Sarajevo Winter Oncology Conference, I received the “Dr. Adnan Delibegović” Award from the Association of Oncologists in Bosnia and Herzegovina, presented by Prof. Dr. Semir Bešlija, President of the Association of Oncologists in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
This recognition is especially meaningful because it bears the name of Dr. Adnan Delibegović – a pioneer of palliative care in Bosnia and Herzegovina, an outstanding radiation oncologist, and a remarkable human being.
From the very beginning, Prof. Bešlija has reminded us that medicine only moves forward if we keep asking questions and challenging what we think we know. I see this award not only as a personal achievement, but as confirmation that our team’s work – raising awareness about the preventable nature of HPV-related cancers, connecting our clinic with European initiatives, and improving cancer care in Bosnia and Herzegovina – truly makes a difference for our patients.
