Amil Družić: National Study on Oncologists’ Use of AI in Bosnia and Herzegovina at ESMO

Amil Družić, Oncology and Radiotherapy Resident at the Clinical Center University of Sarajevo, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Earlier this week I had the opportunity to attend the pioneering ESMO – European Society for Medical Oncology AI and Digital Oncology Congress in Berlin, where we presented our poster:

‘Digital Oncology in Southeast Europe: A National Survey of Oncologists Engagement with Artificial Intelligence and Digital Tools in Bosnia and Herzegovina.’

This is the first national study in Bosnia and Herzegovina that looks at how oncologists are using AI and digital tools in everyday clinical practice, research, and patient education – including communication, coordination of care and decision support.

For me, this congress was a great opportunity to:

  • share real-world data from our oncology community,
  • discuss the gaps and challenges in bringing AI into routine care and research, and
  • connect with colleagues who are shaping the future of digital oncology in Europe.

Grateful to my co-authors, my clinic, and the ESMO AI and Digital Oncology team for the opportunity to present this work in Berlin.”
