“13th Multidisciplinary Symposium on HPV-Related Cancers in Bosnia and Herzegovina
In September, the Academy of Sciences and Arts of Bosnia and Herzegovina (ANUBiH) hosted the 13th Multidisciplinary Symposium on HPV-Related Cancers, gathering experts to discuss prevention, early detection, and treatment of HPV-driven malignancies.
It was underlined that HPV infection causes over 95% of cervical cancers and contributes to vaginal, vulvar, anal, penile, and oropharyngeal cancers — most of which are preventable through vaccination and screening.
I was pleased to present “Digital Intervention as a Key to Preventing HPV-Related Cancers,” sharing results from our cost-effective digital, educational, and video campaign.
Our research showed that these interventions can effectively increase public awareness and knowledge about HPV, vaccination, and cancer prevention, with findings accepted for presentation at the European Cancer Summit 2025.
Grateful to Prof. Dr. Semir Vranić and the ANUBiH Committee for Malignant Diseases for organizing such an impactful event dedicated to advancing HPV-related cancer prevention in Bosnia and Herzegovina.”
