American Cancer Society shared a post on LinkedIn:
“For Chris Way, getting screened was not a single decision. It was shaped over time by what he experienced and what he saw happen to the people closest to him.
That perspective is what turned awareness into action and action into consistency.
It is also what kept him connected to the American Cancer Society, not just personally, but professionally and as a volunteer. Being part of that work gave him a deeper understanding of how prevention, early detection, and access to resources can change outcomes.
Screening is not always top of mind. It is easy to delay, especially if you feel fine or do not know where to begin. But taking that first step can make a meaningful difference.
If you have been thinking about it or are unsure what is right for you, start here.”
