Honoring Reverend Jackson’s Enduring Legacy – American Cancer Society

American Cancer Society shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Prominent civil rights leader Reverend Jesse L. Jackson has long been a powerful advocate for underrepresented communities. As a speaker at an American Cancer Society conference on cancer disparities research, Rev. Jackson spoke about how the communities he has championed were challenged with limited access to cancer prevention information, early detection, and high-quality treatment.

“The disparities gap is growing wider, and sometimes it seems like the bridge may be impossible to build,”

– he said during the conference.

“But this is a problem that can be solved, and we cannot be daunted by the challenges.”

We honor his enduring legacy and extend our deepest condolences to Reverend Jackson’s family, friends, and the countless lives he has positively impacted.”
