Amanda Pullinger, EO of Debbie’s Dream Foundation, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Sitting in Tokyo, as I begin my 11th week as CEO of Debbie’s Dream Foundation: Curing Stomach Cancer, I’m thrilled to announce that during International Women’s Month in March we will be releasing videos from over 20 conversations I’ve had with professional women who are working in the stomach cancer/GI cancer space across research, clinical care, innovation and advocacy.
Any start to a new job is a learning curve, especially when it’s in a totally new field, but I couldn’t have asked for a better set of thoughtful, experienced and patient teachers than the women – and men – in the stomach cancer/GI cancer ecosystem who have spent time with me over the past couple of months.
For International Men’s Day, I plan on interviewing as many men as I can in the same space, but for now let’s acknowledge, celebrate and thank those extraordinary WOMEN who have taken a professional pathway that is saving lives, improving outcomes and providing hope for a cure to stomach cancer. Their resilience, determination and focus on patient care is to be applauded loudly!
Below is a short teaser video to the inaugural Debbie’s Dream Foundation: Curing Stomach Cancer International Women’s Day series, featuring over 20 interviews with women from 10 different countries across The Americas, Europe, Africa and Asia.
Huge thanks to all those who took the time to speak to me. I am forever grateful for YOU!
