Amanda Impellizzeri: What Makes ASCO 2026 Special Are the People You Meet Along the Way

Amanda Impellizzeri, Executive Director of 3 Oncology State Societies and Leadership Relations Manager at MJH Life Sciences, shared a post by Louisiana Oncology Society on LinkedIn:

Day 3 at American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Annual in Chicago, and what an incredible experience it has been!

The energy, enthusiasm, and commitment to advancing cancer care throughout this meeting have been truly inspiring. One of my favorite parts of ASCO each year is reconnecting with colleagues and friends who share the same passion for improving the lives of patients with cancer. Those conversations always leave me energized and reminded of why we do this work.

Yesterday’s Fellows and Board Member Lunch was fantastic, and I’m looking forward to another great gathering today. The evening was equally memorable, starting with an amazing event at Wrigley Field hosted by the Iowa Oncology Society (IOS) and the Wisconsin Association of Hematology and Oncology (WAHO). We capped off the night with fireworks on the water courtesy of PER a wonderful way to celebrate and connect with colleagues.

Today’s agenda includes more time with fellows and board members over lunch, connecting with attendees in the ASCO State Affiliate Booth 11001, and what I expect will be a wonderful ASCO state, affiliate council reception then the ASCO President’s Reception this evening.

Grateful for the opportunity to learn, collaborate, and spend time with so many dedicated oncology professionals. Looking forward to making the most of the rest of the week!”
