“Last Thursday was great connecting with oncology healthcare professionals from across the Rio Grande Valley region and I got to visit several local cancer centers. This was a great reminder of why it’s so important that TxSCO continues to be present, engaged, and listening.
Texas is a big state, but no matter where our members are, we want them to know that TxSCO sees them, hears them, and is here to support them. During the evening 2 TxSCO board members, Dr. Ray Page and Dr. Travis Sims shared updates on our mission and goals, discussed workforce challenges, and reviewed key legislative issues impacting oncology this year all while exploring how we can continue to help and advocate for our colleagues in the future.
The night wrapped up with friendly competition, great food, and casual conversations between healthcare professionals and our sponsors. I can’t wait to visit the Rio Grande Valley again soon!”
