Alvaro Lassaletta, Coordinator of the Brain Tumor Unit at Hospital Niño Jesús, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Back from an inspiring week at the International Symposium on Pediatric Neuro-Oncology (ISPNO) in Sydney, Australia.
Every two years, ISPNO reminds us why our community is so special. It is much more than a scientific meeting—it is a unique opportunity to reconnect with friends and colleagues from across the world who share the same commitment: improving the lives of children and adolescents with brain tumors.
My sincere congratulations and gratitude to the entire organizing committee for delivering such an outstanding congress, and especially to David Ziegler for his exceptional leadership and the remarkable organization of this unforgettable meeting.
It was also a privilege to present the work and ongoing research from the Niño Jesús University Children’s Hospital, with an outstanding oral presentation from Marta Pérez-Somarriba Moreno showcasing the commitment of our team to advancing pediatric neuro-oncology through clinical care, translational research, and international collaboration.
Personally, it was wonderful to reconnect with our colleagues and friends from Canada and so many other countries. These collaborations, built on trust, friendship and a shared vision, are what truly drive progress.
Together, by working across institutions and borders, we can continue to accelerate advances in pediatric brain tumor research and bring better treatments and brighter futures to children and adolescents with cancer.
Thank you, Sydney, for your warm welcome. Looking forward to seeing everyone again at the next ISPNO in Utrecht!”
