Alique Topalian: Global Collaboration Advancing Survivorship Research in Primary Care

Alique Topalian, Research Scientist of Survivorship and Supportive Services at the University of Cincinnati Cancer Center, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Had an amazing time this week presenting at my first international conference with the Ca-PRI: Cancer and Primary Care Research International Network in Utrecht! I presented preliminary findings on “Who’s Who in Primary Care Survivorship Research.” A Social Network Analysis I have been working on with the Training and Mentoring working group for the Interdisciplinary Network for Survivorship and Primary Care Research and Education (INSPiRE). It was great to hear about research happening in this space from around the world. While we all come from different countries, many of the problems we face as patients, providers, and researchers are all the same.

None of this would be possible without the guidance of my incredible mentor Larissa Nekhlyudov. Special shout out to my collaborators Julien Vos and Benjamin Bates for their work on this project and continuous collaboration. I am incredibly grateful for this opportunity to present and connect with colleagues from across the globe! Coming home with a new perspective and excited for the future of this important work!”
