Alique Topalian, Research Scientist of Survivorship and Supportive Services at the University of Cincinnati Cancer Center, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Last week I had the privilege to travel to DC to work on our upcoming application for Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI). We aim to increase childhood and adolescent young adult (AYA) cancer survivors engagement in long term survivorship care. It has been incredible to learn from some of the best minds in cancer survivorship research from across the United States. I am lucky to represent the patient voice alongside Chelsey Gomez and Dean Crowe. Our collaboration with Blood Cancer United adds a unique approach for patient navigaton.
Special thanks to our leader Dr. Eric Chow and Melissa Beauchemin, Monica Gramatges, Nina Kadan-Lottick, Alex Psihogios and the rest of the study team for including me and creating such a welcoming and collaborative environment! Fingers crossed for funding! Looking forward to working together on this initiative and many more in the future.”
