Alina Comanescu: Who Should be Screened for Colorectal Cancer?

Alina Comanescu, Vice Chair of the Board at Digestive Cancers Europe, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Just because you feel good doesn’t mean you have to skip screening.

Who should be screened for colorectal cancer?

All adults aged 50 to 74 years
(the exact range differs in Europe depending on the country and the type of test). And under 50 years old?

Testing may still be necessary if you are at higher risk, such as:

  •  family history of colorectal cancer
  •  genetic conditions that increase the risk

Talk to your doctor about the right approach for you.
Screening saves lives, even if you feel healthy.
Take the quiz when invited.”
