European Society of Gynaecological Oncology – ESGO shared a post on LinkedIn:
“It is with profound sadness that ESGO mourns the passing of Professor Alexandros Rodolakis.
Alexandros was an outstanding gynaecologic oncologist, scientist, teacher and a deeply valued member of the ESGO community. Through his clinical expertise, scientific contributions and commitment to international collaboration, he made a lasting impact on our field and on the lives of many patients and colleagues.
He played an important role in ESGO for many years, including as Congress President of the ESGO 2019 Congress in Athens. His dedication to education, research and evidence-based care, including his important work on fertility-sparing treatment, will remain part of his lasting legacy.
Beyond his professional achievements, Alexandros will be remembered for his generosity, warmth and collegial spirit.
On behalf of ESGO, we extend our deepest condolences to his family, friends, colleagues and all those who had the privilege of knowing him.
We will remember Alexandros with gratitude, respect and great affection.”
