That is the measure Alessandra Curioni Fontecedro puts on the Swiss Oncology Summer School.
The 1st aim she states for it is enthusiastic oncologists who are also good scientists; the 2nd reaches past them, to the students who will practice in another discipline entirely.
Applying scientific reasoning to a clinical problem can allow better management of the patient, whatever that discipline turns out to be, which is why the school is open to students heading elsewhere in medicine.”
