“Today I visited the Garvan Institute of Medical Research in Sydney, where I had the opportunity to present our work on genomic biomarkers and precision oncology.
Many thanks to Prof. Elgene Lim for the invitation and for the great discussions.
What stands out is how strongly the institute is focused on understanding disease biology and translating it into clinical impact. There is a clear effort to connect research, data and patient care. It reinforces something we are seeing more and more: Genomics is no longer just a research tool. It is becoming central to how we understand tumors, make decisions and design clinical trials.
At the Clínic Barcelona Comprehensive Cancer Center, we are working towards the same goal: bringing research and clinical care closer together to accelerate progress.
