The American Lung Cancer Screening Initiative (ALCSI) shared a post on X:
“The inaugural ALCSI Lung Cancer Innovation Challenge has officially concluded!
Launched in the fall of 2025, this international competition brought together more than 1,000 middle and high school students from around the world to develop innovative solutions to raise awareness of the lifesaving importance of lung cancer screening. Following an incredibly competitive selection process, 10 outstanding finalist teams were invited to present their projects live at the 2026ALCSISummit.
Throughout the weekend, these students showcased remarkable creativity, passion, and dedication to improving the future of lung cancer awareness and early detection.
We extend our deepest gratitude to our distinguished panel of judges – including lung cancer survivors, patient advocates, industry leaders, and world-renowned physicians – who generously volunteered their time and expertise to thoughtfully evaluate each team’s work. Your encouragement and commitment made this experience truly meaningful for our students.
Congratulations to every student who participated in this inaugural challenge. Your innovation, curiosity, and determination remind us that meaningful change can begin with a single idea.
And now… the moment you’ve all been waiting for! We’re excited to reveal the winning teams in our next post. Stay tuned.”
