“How is AI affecting health and lives across the world?
Starting tomorrow, the WHO Regional Office for Europe and the Government of Portugal are co-hosting a global World Health Organization conference on artificial intelligence in health, taking place on 15–16 July in Lisbon, Portugal, with live streaming available.
The conference brings together senior government officials, regulators, clinicians, civil society, multilateral organizations, academia, and industry representatives from all WHO regions.
- Day 1 (15 July) focuses on moving from political commitment to national readiness, with sessions on strategic leadership, regulatory frameworks and how public sector reform enables trustworthy AI.
- Day 2 (16 July) turns to implementation and capacity at scale, covering workforce and institutional capacity, global coordination, investment, and the global state of AI readiness.
