“WHO expands Health Inequality Monitoring Network to 24 institutes
The World Health Organization has doubled the membership of its Health Inequality Monitoring (HIM) Network-from 12 to 24 leading institutions worldwide-marking an important step in strengthening global capacity to measure and address health inequalities.
This expansion brings together a diverse group of academic, research, and public health institutions across regions, enhancing collaboration, technical expertise, and knowledge-sharing. The Network plays a critical role in helping countries identify populations being left behind and design targeted, evidence-based solutions—advancing health equity and universal health coverage.
As global challenges evolve, strong data systems and partnerships like the HIM Network are essential to ensure no one is left behind.
