“A striking geographic disparity in the oncology workforce-this time looking at Board-Certified Oncology Pharmacists (BCOPs) across the U.S. BCOP density varies substantially by state, from 2.46 per 100K in South Dakota to 0.17 per 100K in Wyoming.
Nevada is also among the lowest at 0.34 per 100K. Oncology workforce planning should extend beyond physicians. Pharmacists are an essential part of modern cancer care.”
