“Thrilled to share highlights from an inspiring and rewarding Health Sciences Research Day 2025 (HSRD2025) for our lab at the Ellis Fischel Cancer Center, University of Missouri-Columbia, School of Medicine.
Congratulations to Dr. Anjugam Paramanantham, our postdoctoral fellow, who earned the Dean’s Advisory Research Council Award and secured Second Best Poster Award in the Translational Science category, a well-deserved recognition of her dedication, rigor, and innovative contributions.
Kudos to Fatimah Yousuf, our talented undergraduate researcher, who presented her poster and was also selected to deliver a flash talk, a remarkable achievement reflecting her scientific curiosity and promise as a rising scientist.
It was a pleasure meeting Dr. Wafik S. El-Deiry, Director of the Legorreta Cancer Center at Brown University Warren Alpert Medical School, who delivered a captivating keynote lecture on death receptors in cancer cells. His insights were energizing and closely aligned with our lab’s mission to advance translational cancer research.
Proud of my team and grateful for the collaborative research environment at EFCC and the University of Missouri School of Medicine.”
