Three Days of Training, Discussion, and Sharing at the Summer School of Pediatric Oncology – AIEOP

The Italian Association of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology (AIEOP) shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Summer School of Pediatric Oncology

The first edition of the ‘Summer School of Paediatric Oncology’, which brought together young doctors from all over Italy for three days of training, discussion and sharing, ended in Bari.

As an association, we were pleased to support this initiative, which represented an important opportunity for scientific and professional growth for many young colleagues, several of whom belong to our network.

The event stood out for its open and collaborative atmosphere, which fostered dialogue between different generations of professionals and the exchange of clinical experiences.

Among the most significant moments, the awarding of the ‘Alessandro Scialpi‘ Award to the best clinical case.

The words of a participant summarize the spirit of the experience well:

‘It is not at all obvious that seniors devote time and energy to young people, you have eliminated that distance that we often perceive towards you by putting us at ease in asking questions, something we normally feel embarrassed to do in large conferences. I hope we will be able to channel the enthusiasm of this experience into a concrete commitment to continue to grow, learn and work as a team.’

With a second edition scheduled for summer 2028.”
