The in-person extended meeting of the AIEOP Bone Sarcoma Working Group, coordinated by Sebastian D. Asaftei, took place at the Regina Margherita Children’s Hospital in Turin last month. The scientific program ranged from preclinical and translational research to clinical studies and registries, including updates from major national and international consortia, with valuable contributions from Franca Fagioli, Toni Ibrahim, Luksch Roberto, Cristina Meazza, Katia Scotlandi, Massimo Serra, Elisa Tirtei, Federica Riccardo, Chiara Maria Mazzanti, Cristina Banella, Claudia Chiodoni, Giorgia Beccaro, Sabina Vennarini, Silvia Cammelli, Emanuela Palmerini, Marilena Cesari, Raimondo Piana, laura campanacci, Marco Rabusin, patrizia gasparini, Maura Calvani, Paolo Bonvini, Marco Gambarotti, and many other colleagues who every day advance high-quality research and patient care.
The sessions strengthened collaboration, addressed real-world challenges, and helped define new shared directions, fully reflecting the AIEOP spirit.
Beyond the scientific discussions, the meeting was an important opportunity to strengthen connections and align on our shared vision – because network-based research begins, first and foremost, with people.
