Ahmet Dirican, Professor of Medical Oncology at Medicana International İzmir Hospital, shared a post on X:
“Diet doesn’t cure prostate cancer. But it may accelerate it.
Pro-inflammatory diet – high progression
Hyperinsulinemic diet – high risk
Western diet – high mortality
So what actually helps?
- ≥5 servings/day fruits and vegetables
- Legumes (beans, lentils, chickpeas, soy)
- Healthy fats (olive oil, avocado, fish)
- Plant-forward proteins + fish, seafood, low-fat dairy, skinless poultry
- Cooked tomatoes (high lycopene bioavailability)
- Moderate patterns (Mediterranean / Prudent-style).”
