Adam Schoenfeld, Thoracic Medical Oncologist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, shared a post by Nature on X, adding:
“Intriguing study showing postprandial lipid metabolism can enhance T cell function.
Raises a broader question for immunotherapy: how much do metabolic state (and maybe timing) shape treatment response?
In TIL therapy, where patients are often fasting at harvest, could we be unintentionally shaping the starting product? Hard to change peri-op fasting, but perhaps this biology could be recapitulated ex vivo.”
Quoting Nature‘s post:
“Nature research paper: Postprandial lipid metabolism durably enhances T cell immunity.”
