ACS CAN Expands Cancer Advocacy at Pride Events Nationwide in 2026

American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Throughout June, ACS CAN staff and volunteers have been attending Pride festivities across the country. In 2026, we will have had a presence at 80 different Pride events. This would not be possible without our dedicated volunteers, and partners like Cheeky Charity.

This year, ACS CAN was excited to promote our nonpartisan Cancer Votes program at many of the Pride events. Volunteers and staff encouraged people to register to vote and get involved with Cancer Votes by engaging candidates on important cancer issues.

Attending Pride is about more than rainbows and parades; it’s an opportunity to show up and support the LGBTQIA+ community. Similar to other marginalized communities, LGBTQIA+ individuals face a disproportionate cancer burden. Raising awareness and advocating for evidence-based policies that can reduce this burden and eliminate disparities is one of the ways we’ll continue to celebrate Pride year-round. Happy Pride, cancer advocates!”
